FAA Requires Flight Manual Revisions for Older Boeing, McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Flying in Canadian Airspace

WASHINGTON, July 1 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration has issued an airworthiness directive requiring operators of older Boeing and McDonnell Douglas aircraft to revise airplane flight manuals before operating in Canadian airspace because of potential interference between 5G wireless broadband signals and radio altimeters.

The rule takes effect on July 1, 2026, and applies to Boeing Model 707, 717 and 727 airplanes; DC-8, DC-9 and DC-10 . . .
