WASHINGTON, July 1 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has proposed extending by three years the compliance deadline for updated seat belt anchorage testing procedures for heavy vehicles, responding to a petition from the Truck and Engine Manufacturers Association that argued manufacturers need more time to adapt to revised testing requirements.
