FAA Orders Immediate Inspections of Pratt & Whitney Canada Helicopter Engines After Crack Reports

WASHINGTON, June 30 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration has issued an airworthiness directive requiring immediate inspections of Pratt & Whitney Canada PW210-series helicopter engines after reports of cracking in turbine exhaust frames raised concerns about possible engine failures and damage during flight.

The rule, effective July 14, 2026, applies to all Pratt & Whitney Canada Corp., Longueuil, Quebec, PW210A, PW210A1 and PW210S . . .
