WASHINGTON, June 23 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency extended the public comment period for proposed air toxics standards affecting oil and natural gas facilities.
The agency said comments on the proposed rule, originally due by June 22, 2026, will now be accepted through Aug. 6, 2026, after stakeholders requested additional time to review and respond to the proposal.
