WASHINGTON, June 18 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Marketing Service has proposed raising the assessment rate for domestic dates produced or packed in Riverside County, California, from $0.05 to $0.25 per hundredweight beginning with the 2025-2026 crop year. The proposal is intended to strengthen reserve funds used to administer the federal marketing order governing the industry.
