WASHINGTON, June 12 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Marketing Service has ordered a referendum for pecan growers across 15 states to determine whether they support continuing the federal marketing order governing pecan handling. The vote will be conducted through Aug. 3, 2026, among eligible growers in Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Texas.
