Economy Grows in Twelve German Federal States
In the first quarter of 2026, economic output grew in twelve German federal states compared to the previous quarter, according to new calculations by the ifo Institute. Berlin and Brandenburg recorded the sharpest increases at 0.9% respectively, followed by Baden-Wurttemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate (0.8% respectively).
