WASHINGTON, June 8 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Food and Drug Administration has determined that dozens of discontinued prescription and over-the-counter drug products, including protamine sulfate intravenous solution, were not withdrawn from the market for reasons related to safety or effectiveness, allowing generic approval pathways tied to those products to remain available.
