WASHINGTON, June 8 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration has proposed an airworthiness directive for Boeing model 747-8 series airplanes after identifying a potential risk of fatigue-related cracking in sections of the aircraft fuselage that could affect structural integrity if left unaddressed.

Boeing Co., Arlington, Virginia, operators would be required under the proposed directive to perform repetitive high-frequency eddy current inspect . . .
