WASHINGTON, June 4 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration has adopted an airworthiness directive affecting all De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited, Calgary, model DHC-8 series airplanes after reports identified cracked barrel nuts in structural areas of the aircraft. The directive requires recurring inspections for cracking and corrosion, along with corrective actions when damage is found. The rule becomes effective July 9, 2026.
