WASHINGTON, June 4 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a final rule updating Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 304, Compressed Natural Gas Fuel Container Integrity, by removing outdated regulatory language from the federal vehicle safety code. The rule will take effect on July 6, 2026, and petitions for reconsideration must be received by July 20, 2026.
