WASHINGTON, June 4 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a final rule updating Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 303, Fuel System Integrity of Compressed Natural Gas Vehicles, by removing outdated regulatory language that no longer applies to vehicles currently being manufactured. The rule becomes effective on July 6, 2026, and petitions for reconsideration must be submitted by July 20, 2026.
