WASHINGTON (June 2, 2026) - French officials have seized a Russian shadow fleet tanker suspected of being used to smuggle sanctioned goods. The ship was detained 400 nautical miles west of the coastal French region Brittany. Maritime authorities noticed that the Russian vessel was flying a false flag.
