WASHINGTON, June 2 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration has adopted a final airworthiness directive requiring inspections of satellite communications system components on Boeing, Arlington, Virginia, 747 aircraft after reports of corrosion damage were found on high-gain antenna adapter plates. The rule applies to all Boeing Model 747-100, -100B, -100B SUD, -200B, -200C, -200F, -300, -400, -400D, -400F, 747SP and 747SR series airplanes and takes effect . . .
