WASHINGTON, May 27 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration has proposed an airworthiness directive that would require replacement of pressure burner sensors in multiple Pratt & Whitney aircraft engines after reports linked deteriorating sensors to tailpipe fires, loss of thrust control and in-flight engine shutdowns.
