WASHINGTON, May 21 (TNSFR) -- The Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued an environmental assessment and finding of no significant impact for the proposed Long Mott Generating Station in Calhoun County, Texas, clearing the way for continued federal review of a construction permit application submitted by Long Mott Energy, LLC. The notice, published on May 20, 2026, concerns a proposal to build four Xe-100 small modular nuclear reactors near Seadrift, Texas.
