Harvard Museum Moves to Return Chumash Funerary Objects Under Federal Law

WASHINGTON, May 15 (TNSFR) -- The Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, has completed an inventory of funerary objects linked to Native American burial sites in California and determined they are culturally affiliated with the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Mission Indians of the Santa Ynez Reservation, California, according to a notice published by the National Park Service.
