Australian P.M. Albanese Welcomes Sen. Tyrrell to Labor Party

WASHINGTON, May 15 -- Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced during a news conference in Canberra that Sen. Tammy Tyrrell will join the Australian Labor Party and the governing caucus. Albanese characterized the Tasmanian senator as a good faith negotiator and a compassionate advocate who will now bring her focus on cost-of-living pressures and aged care directly into the government team.
