University of Iowa Archaeology Office Identifies Tribal Connections in Human Remains Case

WASHINGTON, May 13 (TNSFR) -- The Office of the State Archaeologist Bioarchaeology Program at the University of Iowa has completed an inventory of Native American human remains and determined there is a cultural affiliation with multiple tribal nations, according to a federal notice published by the National Park Service.

The notice states the remains represent one adult female of Native American ancestry. No funerary objects were identified with the remains.
