WASHINGTON, May 1 -- The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued the following recall alert on April 30, 2026:

Name of Product: Residential Elevators StrikeLock Hoistway Door Locking Device

Hazard: The elevator's StrikeLock hoistway door locking device can allow the elevator cab to move with a landing door open, posing a risk of serious injury or death due to fall and injury hazards.

Remedy: Repair
