WASHINGTON, April 27 -- British Minister of State for Europe, North America and the Overseas Territories Stephen Doughty addressed the United Nations General Assembly in New York to emphasize the enduring importance of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. Doughty stated that the agreement remains a vital pillar of international security but warned against taking its stability for granted amid nuclear expansion in China and non-compliance by Iran and North Korea.
