WASHINGTON, April 22 (TNSLrpt) -- USGS Data Report 1224 summarizes water-quality from the Cedar River alluvial aquifer supplying Cedar Rapids, Iowa's drinking water. Authors Shannon Meppelink and Stephen Kalkhoff, working with City Utilities Water Division, cover quarterly samples from wells, river, and treatment plants plus monthly river nutrients. Published 2026, it tracks major ions, nutrients, pesticides amid 90 percent upstream agriculture.
