Study points to new treatment target for fatal infant heart disease

In a study of mice and lab-grown human heart cells, a research team led by the Hastings Center for Pulmonary Research at the Keck School of Medicine of USC identified a gene that may someday help treat a rare heart muscle disease in infants.
