WASHINGTON, April 18 (TNSFR) -- The Center for American Archeology, Kampsville, Illinois, is taking steps to return ancestral human remains and funerary objects recovered from multiple archaeological sites in Pike County, Illinois, to Native American tribes following an inventory conducted under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA).
