WASHINGTON, April 17 (TNSjou) -- Natural selection in West Eurasia has accelerated since the beginning of the farming era, according to a research study from Harvard Medical School. By applying computational methods to nearly 16,000 ancient genomes, the team found that directional selection has shaped the U.S. and global understanding of human biology far more than previously believed, affecting hundreds of genes over the last 10,000 years.
