On Monday morning, a dead sperm whale was spotted washed ashore at Verklikkerstrand, a Natura 2000 site south of Renesse. That night, the animal drifted back out to sea and washed ashore again a short distance further along on Tuesday afternoon, after which Rijkswaterstaat dragged the animal . . .
