WASHINGTON, April 10 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Navy is preparing to repatriate the human remains of 30 individuals originally removed from San Nicolas Island and San Clemente Island in California. This action is being taken under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA).
The action follows an inventory that identified the remains as those of individuals of Native American ancestry.
