Sonoma State University to Repatriate Remains, Cultural Items to Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria

WASHINGTON, April 10 (TNSFR) -- Sonoma State University is planning to repatriate human remains and more than 10,000 associated funerary objects to the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria, California, under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act.

The decision follows an inventory conducted by the university that identified the remains of at least three individuals of Native American ancestry.
