NOAA: Arizona State University Researcher Seeks Permit for Sea Turtle Research

WASHINGTON, April 10 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration National Marine Fisheries Service has received an application from Jesse Senko of Arizona State University to conduct scientific research on several sea turtle species. The proposed study aims to reduce the accidental capture of these animals in fishing gear within the waters of North Carolina and the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia.
