WASHINGTON, April 8 -- Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced the opening of a first-of-its-kind outposted therapeutic housing unit at New York City Health + Hospitals Bellevue during remarks delivered at the facility. This 104-bed unit is designed to provide high-quality medical and mental health care to incarcerated individuals with acute conditions, allowing them to receive specialty services without leaving the hospital grounds.
