WASHINGTON, April 3 (TNSjou) -- A bioactive compound found in turmeric may assist in lowering oxidative stress and inflammation for individuals living with Type 2 diabetes and prediabetes. Hossein Rafiei, assistant professor of nutrition and dietetics at Saint Louis University, served as lead author of the study which suggests these biological processes are central to the progression of metabolic diseases.
