WASHINGTON, March 25 (TNSjou) -- Testing and treating individuals in jail could reduce hepatitis C infections by nearly half among people who inject drugs, according to a study from the Health Policy and Research Centers at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies and the School of Medicine. The research suggests that implementing these programs provides a cost-effective strategy to help the U.S. meet national elimination goals.
