WASHINGTON, March 24 (TNSjou) -- U.S. lawmakers who prioritize personal insults over policy debate gain significant media visibility but see no measurable boost in fundraising or electoral success, according to a study of more than 2.2 million public statements. Researchers at the University of Pennsylvania Annenberg School for Communication analyzed floor speeches, social media, and press releases from the 118th U.S. Congress to identify legislators acting as conflict entrepreneurs.
