WASHINGTON, March 19 (TNSFR) -- The Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park plans to repatriate human remains and associated funerary objects in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act.

The items were recovered during salvage archeological excavations in Kalapana, Hawaii, between 1987 and 1989. These excavations occurred at Poupou Kauka and Ka'ili'ili Village before lava flows inundated the area. Since the fieldwork concluded, the materials . . .
