WASHINGTON, March 17 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Energy Office of Petroleum Reserves intends to repatriate cultural items to Tejon Indian Tribe. These materials were recovered from the former Naval Petroleum Reserve No. 1 in Kern County, California.
The collection consists of 23 boxes of items currently stored at California State University, Bakersfield. These materials include shell beads, stone tools, debitage, and faunal remains recovered during archaeological investigation . . .
