Stanford Health Policy Study Compares U.S. Physician Incomes With International Counterparts

WASHINGTON, March 17 (TNSrpt) -- Stanford Health Policy researchers determined that while U.S. physicians earn more than doctors in other wealthy nations, the gap is primarily driven by higher general income levels within the country. The study compared tax and occupational records from the U.S., Canada, Sweden, and the Netherlands to examine where medical professionals fit into their respective national income distributions.
