WASHINGTON, March 17 (TNSFR) -- The University of Michigan has announced plans to repatriate the remains of a Native American individual to the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians after completing an inventory under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act.
The university determined cultural affiliation between the individual and the tribe following review and consultation. Repatriation may occur on or after April 15, 2026.
