Gilcrease Museum Moves to Return Native American Remains, Funerary Object to Quapaw Nation

WASHINGTON, March 17 (TNSFR) -- The Gilcrease Museum, Tulsa, Oklahoma, plans to return Native American human remains and a funerary object to the Quapaw Nation following an inventory conducted under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act.

The museum identified human remains representing three individuals of Native American ancestry and one funerary object connected to them. Repatriation may occur on or after April 15, 2026.
