Florida State Department Plans Repatriation of Native American Remains Under Federal Law

WASHINGTON, March 14 (TNSFR) -- The Florida State Department has completed an inventory of human remains and funerary objects and plans to repatriate them under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act.

Officials said the remains represent at least three individuals of Native American ancestry. Two associated funerary objects--identified as unmodified faunal remains--were also recorded during the inventory process.
