WASHINGTON, March 11 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency finalized the amendments to the source performance standards and emission guidelines for large municipal waste combustion units. This action responds to a voluntary remand of previous standards and fulfills the requirements for a five-year review under the Clean Air Act. The final rule applies to units with a combustion capacity greater than 250 tons per day of municipal solid waste.
