Agricultural Marketing Service Proposes Extended Deadline for Inedible Almond Disposition

WASHINGTON, March 9 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Marketing Service has proposed changing the marketing order for almonds grown in California to provide handlers with additional time to meet quality control obligations. The proposal seeks to permanently move the deadline for the disposition of inedible kernels from Sept. 30 to Nov. 30 annually.
