WASHINGTON, Feb. 28 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife Service has proposed removing the Geocarpon minimum, a small winter annual plant, from the federal list of endangered and threatened plants. A comprehensive review indicates that threats to the species have been reduced or eliminated and it no longer meets the definition of an endangered or threatened species under the Endangered Species Act of 1973.
