WASHINGTON, Feb. 27 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has approved the Wyoming partial coal combustion residuals (CCR) permit program. This action, taken under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, follows a review of the application submitted by the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality. EPA has determined that the state program meets the federal standards for approval and will operate in lieu of the federal CCR program, with certain exceptions.
