EPA Approves Waste Storage Variances for Clean Harbors Lone Mountain Facility

WASHINGTON, Feb. 27 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency issued final rule for no-migration variances regarding hazardous waste storage at the Clean Harbors Lone Mountain facility in Waynoka, Oklahoma. This decision allows the facility to utilize up to 100 temporary disposal units, known as "put piles," within its existing landfill.

The approval covers nine specific waste categories:

* Acids with metals

* Bases with metals
