S.D. Gov. Rhoden Advances Tax Relief and Public Safety Bills After Crossover Day

WASHINGTON, Feb. 28 -- Gov. Larry Rhoden, R-South Dakota, said that key parts of his legislative agenda advanced following Crossover Day at the South Dakota Legislature, including Senate Bill 96 to allow counties across South Dakota to opt for a half-cent sales tax to offset owner-occupied property taxes.

Rhoden highlighted the Senate's approval of the property tax proposal and the launch of an online tool outlining projected impacts by county as the measure heads to the House. . . .
