WASHINGTON, Feb. 27 -- Student researchers at the University of Scranton are developing methods to combat financial fraud and ransomware as demand for security analysts rises across the U.S.

Julia Ciaccio, a student in the accelerated master's program, worked with Associate Professor Ismail Onat to investigate skimming at ATMs and point-of-sale terminals. Ciaccio tracked system vulnerabilities and analyzed offender profiles to propose solutions for cyber-enabled financial crime . . .
