WASHINGTON, Feb. 24 (TNSFR) -- The National Park Service has announced the upcoming repatriation of five sacred items from the Museum of Kansas City, Missouri, to the Osage Nation.
The notice, published under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), identifies the items as "objects of cultural patrimony"--artifacts that hold such central importance to the tribe's traditional and historical identity that they could never be legally alienated . . .
