University of California-Berkeley Completes Inventory of Human Remains, Funerary Objects That Show Affiliation With Pala Band of Mission Indians

WASHINGTON, Feb. 25 (TNSFR) -- The University of California Berkeley campus has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects that show cultural affiliation with the Pala Band of Mission Indians. This process identifies ancestral remains and objects removed from San Diego County, California, in 1907.

The inventory includes the physical remains of one individual of Native American ancestry and 13 funerary objects, consisting of ground stone and worked stone. . . .
