Missouri Historical Society Completes Inventory of Human Remains, Funerary Objects That Show Affiliation With Native American Tribes

WASHINGTON, Feb. 23 (TNSFR) -- The Missouri Historical Society, St. Louis, has completed an inventory of human remains identifying a cultural affiliation with one of six Indian Tribes. The inventory includes two individuals and 34 associated funerary objects removed from multiple burial sites in Sacramento County, California.

The objects identified include baked clay bird effigies, bone whistles, shell beads and stone projectile points. Records indicate an unknown person disinterred . . .
