Cumberland Island National Seashore Intends to Carry Out Disposition of Native American Human Remains Recovered From Camden County, Georgia

WASHINGTON, Feb. 23 (TNSFR) -- The Cumberland Island National Seashore (CUIS), St. Marys, Georgia, intends to carry out the disposition of human remains and associated funerary objects to one of 11 Native American tribes. These items were recovered from federal lands in Camden County, Georgia.

The U.S. Department of Commerce National Park Service issued a notice as part of administrative responsibilities under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA).
